this wind energy stuff is a big scam being pushed by GE and CNN (news) which GE owns to make billions & billions of dollars ,I rode through the windfarm in Mojave Ca. and Palmsprings and all those ugly blightful 300 foot-150 foot prop dia. are made by GE , most were not turning cause the wind wasnt blowing, went to Mojave again when he wind was blowing and about half of what appeared to be 200 windmills were turning,wind & solar A BIG LYING SCAM,I am Jeff an electrical engeener

“doubleslottedflaps” get over yourself. Renewable energy is a step in the right direction. The days of drilling for the dead animal and plant goo trapped between rocks is coming to an end. The fans don’t always need to be turning as energy can be derived from stored cells like big batteries. Obviously you’re not a very good “engeener.”

I was an industry analyst and I can tell you that nobody would be building windfarms were it not for hidden government handouts. In the UK it’s the ROC system but California and some other states have similar. It’s a stealth tax. I wouldnt mind them so much if they worked but at best you get maybe 27% runtime and they actually increase reliance on gas turbine generation because of intermittancy. It is a scam and it’s drifting into corporate fascism.

And obviously you know very little about wind energy. Energy storage is extremely inefficient and prone to massive transmission losses. The intermittancy is countered by runing gas backup on idle which is a collossal waste of fuel and money. Wind turbines are window dressing propaganda and a licence to rip off the billpayer. They are not in any way cost effective when you add transmission lines and gas backup and remote location maintenance. It’s a scam.
